Opening of Trilogues and Final Phase of Committee Work

The TRAN Committee Secretariat is pleased to announce the opening of the trilogue phase, marking a decisive step in the interinstitutional negotiations between the European Parliament, the Council and the Commission.

During this final week of the simulation, trilogue meetings will take place in parallel with COREPER and committee meetings. Negotiation sessions are scheduled in the Salle du Conseil and J211, while committee meetings will be held either in Boutmy or in Chapsal, depending on the agenda and the allocated time slots. According to the final week schedule, TRAN Committee meetings are planned in Boutmy and Chapsal, while ENVI Committee meetings will also take place in Chapsal and Boutmy.

The Secretariat is also pleased to inform Members and participants that the technical difficulties previously encountered with the website have now been resolved. As a result, the relevant official documents have been successfully uploaded and made available online, in order to facilitate access to information and ensure that all participants can properly follow the work of the Committee.

Throughout this important phase, the European Parliament Secretariat will remain fully committed to supporting the smooth conduct of the negotiations. It will continue to assist with the organisation of meetings, the circulation of updated documents, and the proper follow-up of procedural requirements. Particular attention will be paid to the respect of parliamentary rules, institutional balance and transparency. The Secretariat will do its utmost to ensure that all Members, rapporteurs, shadows, institutional representatives and stakeholders have access to the necessary information in due time, and that the negotiation process remains clear, structured and accountable.

As trilogues represent a crucial moment for building compromises and advancing legislative work, the Secretariat encourages all delegations to engage constructively and responsibly. The success of this final phase will depend on cooperation, clarity and mutual respect between all actors involved.

TRAN Committee holds second meeting with constructive exchanges among Members

The TRAN Committee of the European Parliament held its second committee meeting on 27 March 2026, as part of the ongoing legislative process. The meeting provided an opportunity for Members to engage in substantive and constructive discussions on the key issues under consideration. Exchanges reflected a broad range of perspectives and contributed to advancing the committee’s work on the file. The session also included interactions with stakeholders and media representatives, allowing for additional input and visibility on the ongoing discussions.

The Committee will continue its work in the coming weeks, with the next meeting scheduled for 17 April 2026.
