The Directorate-General for Climate Action is at the forefront of the European Commission’s work to address climate change and support the transition towards a climate-neutral and resilient European Union. It is responsible for designing and implementing policies and legislation that enable the EU to meet its 2030 climate objectives and achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In doing so, DG CLIMA contributes to sustainable economic development, supports the EU’s broader industrial strategy, and promotes a transition that is both fair and socially inclusive.
